 How Does this Course Work?

HeartCode® ACLS Online is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Advanced Cardiac Life Support skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner’s performance. The program is designed for healthcare professionals who need Advanced Cardiac Life Support training for their clinical duties. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, Cognitive Assessment Activities, illustrations, knowledge checks and interactive activities, this program teaches ACLS knowledge and skills. This method of learning provides training consistency and adaptability to different learning styles. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making. PALS Provider-Original (Full Day)

- 1 and 2 rescuer child/infant CPR and AED use
- Management of respiratory emergencies
- Rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy
- Vascular access
- Resuscitation team concept
- Cardiac, respiratory, shock case discussions, and stimulations
- Systematic approach to pediatric assessment

The PALS Course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a Team Leader in either an in-hospital or an out-of-hospital setting. Because the PALS Course covers extensive material in a short time, you will need to prepare for the course beforehand.
